Avnet Technology Solutions Enters Distribution Agreement with SMART Modular Technologies

Avnet Will Distribute SMART's Entire Line of Memory Modules to Channel Partners in North America

TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avnet Technology Solutions (Avnet), a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products, software and services, and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), and SMART Modular Technologies (WWH), Inc. (SMART) (NASDAQ: SMOD), a leading independent manufacturer of memory modules, embedded computing subsystems, and TFT-LCD display products, today announced that they have reached an agreement for Avnet to distribute SMART’s DRAM and Flash memory module product lines in North America.

SMART's regional sales managers and local manufacturing representative firms will work closely with Avnet's sales force to extend SMART's existing partner channel, provide technical expertise and configuration support, streamline the purchase process, and speed delivery of memory products to channel partners. In addition, as a value-added technology distributor, Avnet will also support SMART’s original equipment manufacturer customers, value-added resellers and system builders by providing innovative technology components and solutions that help them solve business problems for their customers.
