| BusinessWire TranSwitch Demonstrates Wireless Backhaul Solutions and New High-Performance xDSL Controller at NXTcomm 2007NXTcomm 2007 CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TranSwitch® Corporation (NASDAQ: TXCC), a leading provider of carrier-class semiconductor solutions for the converging voice, data and video network, will demonstrate its latest solutions for wireless backhaul and broadband access at NXTcomm 2007 in Booth # 6407, McCormick Place, June 19-21. The wireless backhaul demonstrations will feature two TranSwitch products: PacketTrunk™-4 Plus for 2G/2.5G wireless backhaul over packet infrastructure, and EtherMap®-PDH for 3G wireless backhaul over existing T1/E1 infrastructure. The PacketTrunk-4 Plus emulates T1/E1 or T3/E3 circuits over a packet network using any of the defined industry standard protocols (TDMoIP, SAToP or CES). It also provides extremely accurate clock distribution over a packet infrastructure. EtherMap-PDH transports native Ethernet traffic over all the PDH protocols (E1/T1/J1, wideband DS3 or channelized DS3) that are widely deployed in today’s infrastructure. TranSwitch will demonstrate this functionality using Telrad’s TAG-10c CPE unit and TAG-10a AMC module for ATCA systems, both of which are based on the TranSwitch EtherMap-PDH device. A third demonstration will feature Diplomat™-IP, TranSwitch’s newest high-performance xDSL line card controller capable of simultaneously supporting a mix of ADSL2/2+, VDSL and VDSL2 traffic. Diplomat-IP’s high throughput and TR-101 compliance makes it ideally suited for bandwidth intensive triple-play services. TranSwitch telecommunications experts will deliver educational presentations in the company’s booth during the three days of the event starting at 11:00 a.m. on June 19: * Last-Mile Access Technologies for Mobile Backhaul About TranSwitch TranSwitch Corporation designs, develops and markets innovative semiconductors that provide core functionality and complete solutions for voice, data and video communications network equipment.
