The Ready for IBM Rational SEER® for Software solution provides project cost, staffing, and duration estimates for use cases created in IBM Rational Application Developer or IBM Rational Rose, and provides a direct bridge to IBM Rational Portfolio Manager. The integration has been validated to the Ready for IBM Rational software program. According to CEO Dan Galorath, "With SEER for Software, IBM Rational users will benefit by easily generating accurate estimates for costs, schedules, risks, and reliability very early in the design and decision-making process.” Galorath, whose clients include Raytheon, NASA, IRS, Ford Motor Company and Siemens, will demonstrate both solutions during the IBM Rational Software Development Conference, June 10th to 14th, in Orlando, FL. "Seamless information exchange between the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform and Galorath solutions allows our customers to specify a project's use cases, estimate and manage project cost, staffing, and duration, as well as pass SEER estimates directly into IBM Rational Portfolio Manager where resource allocations ultimately get made,” said Michael Loria, vice president business development, IBM Rational Software. "With this capability software planners have an incredibly powerful set of tools for designing, scoping, and managing software projects.” "For the first time, two global leaders in project planning and management have teamed up to provide customers with a proven solution which can substantively improve project quality, while reducing software development costs and time-to-market,” Galorath said.
