Software 2007

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Symphony Services, a global provider of product engineering outsourcing services, today announced that it will be hosting a panel discussion entitled “Innovation & Globalization: Yin and Yang” at Sand Hill Group’s Software 2007 Conference. The panel will be moderated by Symphony’s CTO, Dr. Jerry Smith. Symphony president and CEO Gordon Brooks will participate in the panel along with other leading software executives from Oracle/Hyperion, Attachmate/NetIQ and EMC Corporation. Symphony is also a gold sponsor of Software 2007, whose theme this year is “Powered by Innovation.”

Who: Moderated by Dr. Jerry Smith, CTO of Symphony Services,
the panel will include Robert Gersten, chief development
officer of Oracle/Hyperion; Ed Spire, senior director
technology and architecture of Attachmate/NetIQ; Uresh
Vahalia, vice president engineering of EMC Corporation;
and Gordon Brooks, president and CEO of Symphony

What: Innovation and globalization are often times both
opposing and attracting forces. But can they live in
harmony? Is the growth of globalization restricting true
innovation--or providing another way for companies to
innovate? The panel "Innovation & Globalization: Yin and
Yang" will explain how these two philosophies can indeed
live in synch with one another. With a deep
understanding of culture, a commitment to collaboration
and superior leadership, software companies are finding
that they can successfully innovate and better manage
their R&D in a global environment.

When: Software 2007 will take place May 8-9, 2007. The
"Innovation & Globalization: Yin and Yang" panel session
is scheduled to take place on Wednesday May 9, 2007 from
11:00am - 12:00pm.

Where: Conference Room 210, Santa Clara Convention Center,
Santa Clara, CA
