Airbee Wireless to Demonstrate Low-Power Mesh Networking Technology and Facilitate Hands-on Training Session at ZigBee Developers Conference

Embedded Systems Conference - Silicon Valley 2007
ZigBee Developers Conference

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Airbee Wireless (OTCBB:ABEW):

What:

Airbee Wireless (OTCBB:ABEW), a leading end-to-end provider of intelligent embedded software solutions, will showcase a technology demonstration and lead an in-depth training session, both of which feature technology-proven devices within the company's solution portfolio

DEMO: The 40-node demo showcases the capability of Airbee to support multiple sensor and actuator devices over a ZigBee mesh network. The demo uses Airbee-ZAPP, a Serial Port Profile and assignable I/Os (SPPIO) built on the Airbee-ZNS 2006 stack. The demo network has been addressed for Reliability, Robustness and Resilience. These attributes ensure that the product is reliable over long periods of time or under varying environment conditions or both these factors simultaneously. The product is capable of exhibiting a more than acceptable level of reliability by a process of recovery of the wireless network through a built-in retry and acknowledgement mechanism. The demo network can also be managed and monitored using Airbee's ZNMS Lite network management system. Airbee-ZNMS Lite helps in reducing operational expenses by simplifying and integrating device management.

TRAINING: Hands-on Training Session - Rapid Development of Wireless Sensor Network Applications Using Airbee ZNet (Ravi Ramanathan, Technical Manager; Ram Satagopan, Chief Technology Officer; Dr. Sunder Kumaresan, Technical Manager) This session will cover the ZigBee stack architecture starting with the PHY layer (key functionalities CCA, TRX on/off, ED, LQI), the MAC layer (key functionalities, beacons, association, disassociation, CSMA-CA, acknowledge), the Network layer (key functionalities, device configuration, start PAN, join, leave, address assignment, Neighbor discovery, route discovery, APS, ZDO, AF, AO, Security), and a brief overview of ZigBee device types including roles and functionalities.
