These first-of-a-kind devices support the advanced Sprint network technology Evolution Data Optimized, Revision A (EV-DO Rev. A) and are backwards compatible to work in areas where EV-DO Rev. A coverage is not yet available. The Raven X and PinPoint X are the first two product installments in AirLink's new X Platform. Both devices offer increased processing power and expanded memory within an enhanced and scalable architecture optimized for current and future 3G wireless networks. As with all of AirLink's always-on, always-aware wireless modems, the X Platform products are powered by AirLink's ALEOS™ technology, the longstanding industry benchmark for reliable and feature-rich embedded intelligence. The Raven X is a robust communications and networking device designed to deliver reliable connectivity for broadband wireless data and mission critical applications. Its high-speed Ethernet interface and enhanced processing make the Raven X ideally suited for various commercial wireless network connectivity applications. The Raven X has a serial interface as well, to simplify deployments and enable new functionality. Embedded ALEOS technology ensures data session persistence and compatibility with numerous machine communications protocols, making the Raven X equally suited for a long list of remote industrial solutions, including utilities, automation and infrastructure. The PinPoint X is a compact, intelligent and fully-featured mobile communications platform with multiple peripheral connections including serial, Ethernet and USB. Expanded I/O functionality in a separate connector includes four digital inputs, four analog inputs and two relay outputs unleashing extensive remote instrumentation possibilities. The PinPoint X is compliant with environmental Military Standards for vibration, shock, drop, high and low temperature and humidity. Its high-precision 16-channel GPS receiver coupled with the rich embedded intelligence provided by ALEOS technology make PinPoint X the perfect choice for a broad set of mobile enterprise, public safety, fleet management and AVL solutions. With certification on the Sprint Power Vision Network, AirLink's customers benefit from faster download speeds (averaging 450 – 800 kbps, as compared with 400 – 700 kbps for EV-DO Rev. 0) and significantly faster upload speeds (averaging 300 – 400 kbps, as compared to 50 – 70 kbps for 1x and EV-DO Rev. 0) in areas where EV-DO Rev. A coverage is available.
