ArcSoft Announces Mobile Broadcast TV

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ArcSoft, Inc. announced its Mobile Broadcast TV solution today at the 2007 International CES. The solution enables consumers to watch live TV broadcasts from their portable devices. ArcSoft® Mobile Broadcast TV joins ArcSoft’s lineup of Mobile Technology Solutions, each of which offers OEMs and ODMs opportunity to quickly add compelling multimedia software to their mobile devices.

Like the other ArcSoft Mobile Technology Solutions, ArcSoft Mobile Broadcast TV is available for purchase by OEM customers as codecs, Application Development Kits (ADKs), or build-to-suit applications. The ADKs include software component libraries, application logic flow, reference user interfaces, and development documents.

For additional flexibility, the Application Development Kit (ADK) is offered in two different packages, T-DMB and DVB-H, depending on which standards customers want to support on their devices. Both packages can be integrated with hardware codecs and include ESG/EPG interpretation, tuning and scanning functionality, an interface for CA/DRM integration, and PVR and time-shift playback.
