The Mocana Acceleration Harness is available as part of the Mocana Device Security Framework or bundled with other Mocana security products.

Silicon vendors are increasingly integrating hardware acceleration engines into their products to speed up cryptographic operations while freeing up the central processing unit (CPU) to continue to perform other tasks in parallel. Mocana recently performed benchmarking tests using Freescale’s 1 GHz MPC8555 PowerQUICC III processor with Acceleration Harness 2.0. Mocana achieved outstanding results. Benchmarking on the Mocana Embedded SSL Server, Mocana was able to achieve throughput performance of 480 megabits per second (Mbps), thereby exceeding Freescale’s estimates for protocol processing overhead and exceeding performance estimates the company provides to its customers.
