iLuv™ Showcases Patent-Pending BluePin Technology Supported by Open Bluetooth Wireless Standard

First flagship products for iPod and Samsung media players both send and receive audio content wirelessly

Designed to enhance the “shared entertainment” experience through standard Bluetooth wireless technology, BluePin is a truly unique move forward in the evolution of wireless consumer technology.

At roughly the size of a quarter, iLuv’s patent-pending BluePin technology enables users to wirelessly share personal music content from any MP3 player, laptop or mobile phone equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology to an iLuv audio system equipped with BluePin. Additionally, music may be transmitted from that same system to headphones or home entertainment speakers equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology.

First BluePin Products

The iLuv i199 All-in-One Multimedia Center serves as a full-featured, mini-audio system, playing music from your iPod, CDs, MP3 CDs, USB storage devices or AM/FM radio. The embedded BluePin technology affords consumers the ability to wirelessly play their songs from any portable audio device, computer or cell phone equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology for a “shared” listening experience through the i199. On the flip side, consumers can also listen to audio content playing on the i199 system through wireless headphones or home entertainment speakers which utilize Bluetooth wireless technology. Available in black or white, the i199 is priced at $229.99 at www.i-luv.com and expected to be available in early April.

The iLuv i277 Alarm Clock with Video Output affords consumers a number of ways to wake up or go to bed. Built with an AM/FM radio, a traditional buzzer and a dock for an iPod, the i277 is much more than a simple alarm clock. Through the included BluePin technology, music from a mobile phone, laptop computer or other device equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology can be played. With its video output feature, you can play your iPod with video from the i277 directly on your TV through an S-video connection. The i277 also allows users to play content from the device through wireless headphones or home entertainment speakers utilizing Bluetooth wireless technology. In either black or white, the i277 is expected to be available in early April at a price of $149.99 at www.i-luv.com.

Samsung-Specific BluePin Products

In addition to functionality with Apple iPod products (nano, shuffle and iPod with video), iLuv has created a line of BluePin-enabled products compatible with Samsung media players – specifically the Yepp T9 and K3.

The iSS199 All-in-One Multimedia Center and iSS277 Alarm Clock with Video Output are the first BluePin-enabled products available for Samsung media players, and are available at $229.99 and $149.99 respectively at www.i-luv.com. Both devices are expected to be available in early April.
