Enhanced Performance Drives Launch of the “X Platform”

Leveraging the new X Platform, AirLink’s latest product suite offers increased processing power and expanded memory within an enhanced and scalable architecture optimized for current and future 3G wireless networks. The first two product installments from the X Platform are the Raven X and the PinPoint X. Both showcase compact, sleek new form-factors with integrated mounting features in rugged aluminum cases. Class I Division 2 certification ensures intrinsic safety for operation in hazardous environments and customers using GSM technologies will appreciate external SIM card access for ease of installation and activation.

The Raven X has both serial and Ethernet interfaces to simplify deployments and enable new functionality. Equipped with ALEOSTM technology, the Raven X is compatible with numerous machine communications protocols making it ideal for a long list of remote industrial solutions. The high-speed Ethernet interface and 3G-optimized architecture make the Raven X equally suited for various commercial wireless network connectivity applications as well.

The PinPoint X is a compact, intelligent and fully-featured mobile communications platform with multiple peripheral connections including serial, Ethernet and USB. Expanded I/O functionality in a separate connector includes four digital inputs, four analog inputs and two relay outputs unleashing extensive remote instrumentation possibilities. The PinPoint X is compliant with environmental Military Standards for vibration, shock, drop, high and low temperature and humidity. Its high-precision 16-channel GPS receiver coupled with the rich embedded intelligence provided by ALEOSTM technology make PinPoint X the perfect choice for a broad set of mobile enterprise, public safety, fleet management and AVL solutions.

AirLink is aggressively launching X Platform products on advanced 3G wireless networks, with commercial shipments of CDMA 2000 EV-DO Revision A and High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) solutions commencing in Q1 2007.
