Mini-Box Launches Highly Flexible Family of Low-Power, Low-Cost Mini-ITX Systems for the Embedded MarketHighly flexible, full featured Mini-ITX systems with a wealth of I/O options, reliability and energy efficient performance in a small form factor are ideal for embedded applications. FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mini-box.com, a subsidiary of Ituner Networks, today announced the Mini-Box M200 and M300, M200-LCD and M300-LCD fully customizable systems that give OEMs flexibility to add their logo, select the I/O that fits their purposes, and build systems with the memory options and operating system of their choice. Small, Cool and Silent Computing Running a 1GHZ x86 VIA processor, the I/O rich M200 consumes an average of 15watts of power while capable of processing large amounts of data. These tiny systems (20cm x 5.4cm x 24cm) are designed for long life support. The M200/300 family is a unique computing solution, aggressively priced, enabling OEMs and system integrators to provide cost effective solutions for virtually any type of applications. By using Ituner's energy efficient ATX power supplies (picoPSU), the system runs at low temperatures thus increasing the standard MTBF of the mainboard. “Mini-box offers a Swiss Army knife-type of hardware selection, giving system builders just what they’re looking for when creating devices for their small, quiet, and energy-efficient embedded applications,” said Andrei Bulucea, president of Mini-box. Mini-box M200 and 300 systems are bootable from Solid State Disk (Compact Flash) or hard drive, and are fully compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista and Linux. Mini-box also offers its own small custom embedded Imedia Linux. In addition, Mini-box has created two LCD versions of these systems, the M200-LCD and M300-LCD featuring a 2x20 STN LCD and illuminated keypad, allowing application system integrators to control the unit without the need of a VGA monitor. Status messages, system health as well as company logo can be stored and displayed on the LCD. The M200-LCD and M300-LCD are also equipped with an IR receiver for infrared remote control applications. Ituner Networks, parent company of Minibox.com offers the option of buying only the enclosure for system integrators who want to build small form factor devices but who are using other Mini-ITX type motherboards such as those based on Pentium-M or Core 2 Duo.
