AGI Offers a Whole New Approach to National Security and Space Analysis with Its STK 8 Software Release

Newest version features a consolidated product line; integrated 3-D visualization; expanded enterprise sharing; enhanced globe building, terrain/imagery support, aircraft/UAV modeling capabilities

EXTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) has released STK 8, the latest version of its commercially available software for analysis of land, sea, air, and space assets. Offering full integration of its 3-D visualization capabilities and a consolidated product line targeted to specific user skill levels and analysis types, STK 8 also provides expanded enterprise data sharing; enhanced features for globe building, terrain, and imagery analysis; and additional aircraft and UAV mission modeling capabilities.

With STK 8, AGI has realigned its product suite into three STK editions—Basic, Expert, and Professional—that can be augmented with add-on modules supporting integration and customization; terrain, imagery, and map data; and other specialized analyses. The free STK Basic Edition solves fundamental location and inter-visibility problems associated with land, sea, air, and space scenarios. STK Professional and STK Expert editions include dynamic 3-D visualization with the ability to perform complex design and operational analysis. The release also expands its interactive AGI Viewer product offering with the new AGI Viewer Pro—an affordable option for users who display multiple STK scenes and add or modify images, terrain, or GIS layers.

“Through the product realignment, STK 8 users can select editions specifically tailored to their program requirements and analysis proficiency,” says Francesco Linsalata, AGI chief operating officer. “AGI Viewer Pro is also a great way for STK users to share their work with technical or non-technical audiences across the enterprise. Finally, STK 8’s integrated 3-D visualization and new features provide even more analytical capabilities for our users to conduct mission-critical tasks.”
