Unicoi Systems Releases Fusion IGMPv3

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unicoi Systems, a leading provider of real-time multimedia software and reference designs to embedded device developers and OEMs worldwide, today announced the release of its Fusion Internet Group Management Protocol Version 3 (IGMPv3).

The Internet Group Management Protocol is a communications protocol used to manage the membership of Internet Protocol multicast groups. Multicasting can be used in a range of applications such as updating the address books of mobile computer users, distributing company newsletters to mailing lists, and broadcasting streaming media to multicast group members.

Fusion IGMP, a fully-integrated component of the Fusion TCP/IP networking stack, is part of Unicoi Systems’ middleware solution for multimedia devices.
