X-Change Corp. Completes Design of 'Authenticus' Product Authentication System; Files for Patent Protection

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2006--X-Change Corporation (OTCBB:XCHC) said today its wholly owned subsidiary, AirGATE Technologies, Inc., has completed design of its Authenticus product authentication system, including fixed and handheld readers, and has begun filing a patent application covering the system's design and operation.

Authenticus, Latin for "to authenticate," is a complete, proprietary RFID-based system that prevents counterfeiting and diversion of high-value goods by providing authenticity validation and product chain-of-custody history.

The system employs the world's smallest RFID integrated circuit chip, which precisely and cost-effectively identifies and tracks millions of items, including pharmaceuticals, clothing, designer goods, artwork, sports memorabilia, collectibles, high-value documents and other valuable products. The mu-Chip is embedded directly into these products during their manufacturing phase, with each item receiving a unique "license plate" which can be matched to production lots, outer cases, pallets and customer shipments.

The Authenticus system, which also features a secure web site, www.authenticus.com (in development) is expected to begin commercial deployment in the first quarter of 2007.
