Xirrus Introduces New Line of Enclosures for Its Award-Winning Wi-Fi Array

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2006--Xirrus, Inc., the only provider of high capacity, long range Wi-Fi products that can effectively extend wired network capabilities to wireless -- without compromise, has announced today a new line of enclosures for its Wi-Fi Array family. The enclosures enable enterprises to deliver the next generation of Wi-Fi networks allowing for capacity and performance beyond the standard five year operating life.

The Xirrus Wi-Fi Array can now be used in campus and metropolitan Wi-Fi environments by utilizing the new outdoor enclosure to maximize each Array's half-mile range and up to 648Mbps of aggregate wireless backhaul capacity.

The Xirrus XE-4000 Wi-Fi Array Outdoor Enclosure is easily mountable on a pole or exterior wall and hardened to withstand wind, rain, lightning and humidity. It is internally heated and cooled.

The Xirrus XE-2000 Wi-Fi Array Ceiling Enclosure is easily mountable in a standard 2'x2' drop down ceiling tile opening and hardened against dust and water damage. The Indoor Enclosure is tamper proof using dual "keyed" door locks and is UL Listed.
