WIN Enterprises Announces Versatile, RoHS Compliant Network Appliance

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 2006--WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-01027, a scalable network appliance that provides a flexible platform for network security and other network-based applications. The PL-01027 is a compact, 1U desktop appliance perfect for small and medium size businesses (SMB) for use in several roles, including: policy gateway, wireless security gateways, content filtering devices, network attached storage (NAS), and firewalls. It provides a flexible platform for system integrators and software vendors to easily develop a variety of solutions.

It is architected using the VIA(TM) C7/Eden processor with VIA CN700 and VIA VT8237R chipset. The appliance is available with a variety of VIA processors to meet a range of application requirements, including 400MHz, 1.0GHz, and 1.5GHz.
