Insyde Software's Framework Compatibility Code To Ship On Intel's Santa Rosa Reference Board

INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM

TAIPEI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 2006--
InsydeH2O(TM) to be offered with forthcoming Mobile Customer Reference Boards from Intel

Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS and engineering services, today announced that it is providing its flagship InsydeH2O(TM) product to Intel for the Santa Rosa Platform Reference Boards. Santa Rosa is the codename for the next generation of Intel(R) Centrino(R) mobile technology.

In recent weeks Insyde Software has revealed more and more companies, including Fujitsu, BenQ, Mitac and others are already shipping InsydeH2O on Napa-based mobile platforms. To date, millions of client PC platforms, including desktops, notebooks and embedded systems have shipped worldwide with InsydeH2O software.

InsydeH2O "Hardware-2-Operating System" firmware solution is a production-proven implementation of the Intel Platform Innovation Framework for EFI ("the Framework") that is the modern BIOS replacement technology being used on server, desktop, mobile and embedded systems. Because InsydeH2O has always been a pure implementation of the Intel Framework technology, Intel MPG will utilize Insyde's Framework product for validation of Santa Rosa Platform features.

At Insyde's Booth at the Intel Developer Forum being held this week in Taipei, Insyde will showcase a range of computing platforms shipping InsydeH2O including mobile PCs, desktop computers and motherboards, and embedded PC platforms. In addition, Insyde Software will be presenting a session entitled, "Applying EFI Framework Lessons Learned for Next Generation Mobile Designs" in collaboration with Mitac. This session will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 14:50 in Room 202.
