Helicomm Delivers Complete ZigBee Development Supports Including ZigBee Stack and Embedded Modules; World's First System and Module Supplier to Achieve ZigBee Compliant Certificate

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 2006--Helicomm, a leading wireless networking solutions provider, today announced that its ZigBee protocol stack has passed ZigBee Compliant Platform (ZCP) certification. ZCP certification enables Helicomm's customers to rapidly deploy ZigBee-based products with FCC/ZCP certified modules from Helicomm. ZCP entitles Helicomm to claim the title of the world's first solution provider with ZigBee-certified modules, development tools and platform.

Helicomm's ZigBee-compliant protocol stack supports resource-rich, extended range, full function devices (FFDs) to cost-optimized reduced function devices (RFDs), enabling Helicomm customers to meet cost and performance goals with shorter development time and lower cost. This certificate also enables Helicomm a more flexible business engagement with customers by providing hardware and software from a single source, mitigating complex licensing agreements.

According to West Technology Research Solutions, a market analysis firm, there are expected to be more than 120 million devices by 2010 taking advantage of the ZigBee protocol's mesh networking, cost efficient and low power capabilities.
