Managed Objects Announces OEM Agreement to Assure Quality on Wireless Networks; Business Service Level Management Software Advances Managed Service Strategy for Mobile Systems Bellwether MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2005--Managed Objects, the Business Service Management Company, today announced an OEM agreement with telecommunications company Ericsson (Nasdaq: ERICY), the world's largest supplier of mobile systems. Ericsson has embedded Managed Objects' Business Service Level Management (BSLM) software into its third-generation mobile operational support system, or OSS-RC, which is the network management tool that Ericsson employs to assure service quality on its GSM and WCDMA network. By integrating Managed Objects BSLM software into the OSS-RC, Ericsson can monitor, measure and report on service levels of next-generation mobile networks, providing services such as short message service and multimedia messaging. A successful pilot implementation of the OEM'd Managed Objects Formula / BSLM solution with a major European telecommunication company and customer of Ericsson has been successfully completed. As a result, Ericsson is moving the product into production and will begin to market Managed Objects' BSLM software as a key component of the OSS-RC tool, focusing on global carriers that typically operate independent mobile networks. In addition, this deal also enables Ericsson to provide advanced service level monitoring for its Managed and Support Services division, which generally caters to mid-tier mobile carriers globally. The need for service providers to ensure and communicate how they deliver on service levels is growing in tandem with networks - and especially mobile networks - as these continuously evolve in size and complexity. Providers are faced with a choice of developing software with automated service level monitoring capability in-house - or integrating existing technology from a third party specialist, as Ericsson has opted to do with Managed Objects. "This initiative exemplifies Ericsson's well-deserved reputation as a leading edge telecommunications company," said Sean Larner, general manager of Managed Object's European Operations. "Managed Objects provides Ericsson with a flexible and innovative tool that integrates easily into its existing product line, which in turn provides Ericsson's customers with best-in-class services and products." About Managed Objects Managed Objects is the Business Service Management Company. Business Service Management (BSM) aligns IT with the business by integrating network, system, application, end user, and business metric information into real-time business service dashboards. Through Managed Objects' BSM platform, companies effectively monitor, manage, and report on the services IT delivers to the business - services like online trading and e-commerce. Consistently acknowledged by the analyst community as best in class, Managed Objects has more BSM implementations in place than any other company. That is why AIB, Auchan, CSC, Credit Suisse, DISA, Fidelity Investments, JPMorganChase, NIH, Progress Energy, Reuters, TIAA-CREF and other global organizations rely on Managed Objects' BSM technology.
