Attero Tech Supports Cirrus Logic's CobraNet Technology with New CO2 Demo Platform

     Audio Engineering Society (AES) Convention
Booth #904

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 2005--Attero Tech, a leading technical services company that provides complete system, hardware, firmware and software designs, is the latest third-party developer to join the growing CobraNet community. Attero Tech's considerable engineering expertise makes them ideally suited for developing a wide variety of Cirrus Logic's (Nasdaq:CRUS) CobraNet(TM) digital audio over Ethernet networking applications.

Recognizing the growing market demand for CobraNet technology-based applications, Attero Tech has introduced its CobraNet CO2 (Cost Optimized Second Generation) low-cost demo platform for the Cirrus Logic CS496112 CobraNet Interface Processor +DSP integrated circuit. The CobraNet CO2 demo platform is a complete CobraNet implementation, including analog stereo inputs and outputs. This new platform highlights the ease of providing networked audio with CobraNet and enables the rapid prototyping of products that incorporate distributed signal processing using Cirrus Logic DSP Conductor(TM) development software.

"Attero Tech is very enthusiastic about CobraNet technology and becoming active in the CobraNet market place," said Rus Sundholm, president of Attero Tech. "CobraNet is a proven solution with a very large and growing installation base. I believe that CobraNet represents the best standards-based approach for multichannel audio processing and distribution available today."

"We are very pleased to have Attero Tech join the expanding CobraNet community," said Keith Cheney, vice president and general manager of Cirrus Logic's Embedded Processor Division. "Attero Tech's engineering expertise and excellent design skills will help OEM's rapidly create new and innovative products using Cirrus Logic's CobraNet technology. In today's fast-moving and competitive environment, it is particularly beneficial to have a mature support network that can help our customers get to market quickly with great new features."

The CobraNet CO2 platform will be available for sale from Attero Tech by the end of October. The design is a two-layer implementation and will cost $249.00 per pair, including power supplies. For more information, visit the Attero Tech Website (www.atterotech.com).

CobraNet technology is the de facto industry standard for delivering high-quality, uncompressed audio over Ethernet. CobraNet technology, which is available via Cirrus Logic's CS181XX and CS496XX families of integrated circuits, co-exists with network data traffic and is considerably more flexible and cost effective to implement compared to installing a dedicated digital audio system.
